Brady's DS was the center of attention for everyone under 10

The Boys Drive Across the USA

The drive began in Williamsburg, VA.  Brady had the backseat all to himself.
Crossed the TN border early morning of day 2.
Angry Birds kept the boy occupied for hours on end.
Ice cream cone at 9:30 AM...well technically it was 10:30 since we crossed into the Central Time Zone.  That's not too early for ice cream is it?
Indoor BK Playground saved the day.  MCD had an outdoor playground but it was a torrential downpour when we needed this stop.
"Hope the driving isn't making you too tired," said Dad (the driver!)
Welcome home!  Oops that was two moves ago.  Oh well nice to have some familiar sights to pass time.
A view of the Pyramid from Mud Island
Couldn't stop and get Brady in front of this sign since the border is in the middle of the Mighty Mississippi.  Strike up the chorus..."Deeeeeep Riverrrrr!"
Poor guy had to wake up for this picture.  Stayed the night in Shawnee.  This would end the driving for day 2.  Western Virginia to Oklahoma in one day...not a bad day of driving!
Brady says the FG is good!
Quick stop in Norman to show Brady the OU campus.

Entering the 5th state...only two more until we're home!

But first a stop at the rest area to play at the playground.
Requirement for BBQ grill at rest area: Texas sized.  What they received: Texas shaped!  Oh well, still really cool.
New Mexico has a cool marker for their border.  Brady unfortunately was dead asleep when we crossed.  Deming, NM would be the stop for day 3.  Only 200 miles to go!
Found a dinosaur museum, look at the size of that leg!
Brady was not too sure about this one.  Notice the distance between Brady and the railing...he didn't want the fossil to eat him!
Look at the size of that head!
This is a T-Rex footprint.  Brady would make a nice treat for the mighty dino!
Up at 4:30 AM to get home early on day 4.  We wanted to surprise Aiden and Ashley at the hotel before they got up for breakfast. The idea sounded so much better at 9 PM the previous night.  Unfortunately Brady was asleep again when we arrived at the border.
WE MADE IT!  Together again!  Well at least one is excited to be back together.
Emme found her new spot in our home!
